Nimbin Preschool receives the bulk of its funding from the NSW Department of Education and Communities which helps to contribute to the cost of employing quality staff.

Yet in order to improve the environment and facilities we are able to offer children and families in our community, we have to seek funding from other sources.

We are extremely grateful to the Sidney Myer Foundation for enabling us financially in 2013, to purchase to new furniture for the preschool.

We are always grateful to the Nimbin Agricultural and Industrial Society (A&I) who are the caretakers of the land on which we are situated and our landlords. Their support, help and friendship assists us to maintain the preschool as a rich community resource.

We are extremely grateful to the Nimbin Community Centre for allowing us to be part of their community web portal and to Paris Naday for designing our website and enabling our net presence.

Nimbin Preschool were honored in 2014 to receive a Frank-Leyden Tot-ed Trust Grant. This grant has allowed us to employ an additional staff member for the year to enable us to develop a dedicated studio space for in-depth work with small groups of children. We are so appreciative of this opportunity and incredibly grateful to the Frank-Leyden Tot-ed Trust for this opportunity. The objective of the Frank-Leyden Tot-ed Trust is: “the promotion and encouragement of education of children up to the age of seven years in Australia”
